Abstract
This paper presents the results of a qualitative study conducted in three Arab countries (Jordan, Syria and Lebanon) aimed at analyzing the role of young people as actors in promoting political reform. The qualitative research in this report offers strong evidence that young people believe that they have the potential to become influential players and help implement the necessary political reforms in their respective countries. Furthermore, they also share a similar faith in the effectiveness of their role as regards the promotion of change. However, research indicates that there is a wide gap between the will to promote change and the ability to make it a reality.
