Abstract
On the occasion of the EuroMeSCo Annual Conference “Reviewing the Euro-Mediterranean Relations” held in Milan on 8-9 October, over 100 participants from 27 countries gathered to discuss the relations between the EU and the Southern Mediterranean partner countries in the current unstable regional order.
The following report summarizes the discussions and outcomes of the EuroMeSCo Annual Conference 2015. The plenary sessions examined the dynamics that have been determining success and failure over the past 20 years of Euro-Mediterranean relations, speculated on the challenges lying ahead, including internal and transnational conflicts, terrorism, migration, refugee crisis and economic and social issues, and reflected on the perspectives for Euro-Mediterranean relations.
The parallel sessions addressed the current developments in three main dimensions of cooperation: politics and security, socio-economic and social, as well as human and cultural.
