The ceasefire agreement signed on 22nd November 2012 in Cairo between Hamas and Israel, which ended eight days of fighting between the two sides, was certainly not the first ceasefire since the Hamas takeover of the Gaza Strip in June 2007, and unfortunately will not be the last. According to the author, there are many indicators that indicate that the cycle of violence may restart not after years but after months.
