Turkey’s annual inflation falls
On Monday 3 November, Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) reported that Turkey saw a 21.62% annual rise in consumer prices in November while inflation fell by 3.62 percentage points from 25.24% in the previous month. According to the same survey, Turkey’s year-end annual inflation would be 22.57 % on average, despite Treasury and Finance Ministry initiatives to limit such phenomena. Turkish Government announced in September a new economy program whose aim is diminish inflation, and for that, inflation rate are expected to be around 20,8% this year, 15,9% in 2019, 9,8% in 2020 and 6% in 2021.
