Tunisian President Kais Saied meets with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in his first visit abroad
On his first official visit outside Tunisia, Tunisian President Kais Saied met with Algeria’s President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The two Heads of State expressed their concern over the escalation of the Libyan conflict, and added that the country must be protected from foreign interference. Tebboune committed to hold meetings with all parties to the conflict in order to help building new institutions and pave the way towards general elections. The Algerian president also announced a $150 million loan to Tunisia in order to help with its large public debt.
