Towards a Renewed Partnership with the Southern Neighbourhood
On the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the Barcelona Process and against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic, EuroMeSCo is launching an open, region-wide consultation campaign within the framework of the EuroMeSCo: Connecting the dots project, co-funded by the EU and the IEMed.
This consultation is organised ahead of the publication of an EU Joint Communication on a renewed partnership with the southern neighbourhood at the beginning of next year and amid ongoing EU budgetary programming efforts.
This inclusive consultation is framed as a Euromed Survey and it targets respondents from both EU and Southern Mediterranean countries, including experts, civil society representatives, the business sector, and policy-makers. It will also be opened to anyone who would like to participate.
This 10-15 minutes-long questionnaire covers policy priority areas such as:
- Human development, governance and migration. It focuses on the role of civil society, reforms on good governance and democracy as well as the cooperation on migration management.
- Inclusive, resilient and sustainable economies. It tackles issues such as digitalisation, investment and trade priorities for economic recovery and inclusive economies.
- Environment, energy and climate change resilience. It focuses on green and energetic transitions as well as priorities to face climate change.
- Peace and security cooperation in particular security threats and conflict resolution.
