The Royal Moroccan Navy fired at a boat carrying 50 irregular migrants and injured a 16-year-old minor, the state TV reported. Security sources said they were “warning shots in accordance with the procedures followed,” and that “the young man who was injured in the shoulder was transferred to a hospital in the city of Tangier”. The migrants, all Moroccans, had left a coastal area between Larache and Asilah on the Atlantic Ocean.
