The EU Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Arias Cañete visited Algeria on 20 November for a high level meeting to relaunch the energy partnership between the EU and Algeria, where he met with Mustapha Guitouni, Algerian Energy Minister. The energy dialogue between both countries covers natural gas, renewable energy and energy efficiency, and the common objective is to improve the legislative and regulatory framework for gas to make it more attractive to investors, and to diversify the energy sources.
