Saudi Arabia lifts Lebanon travel warning
Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri received on Wednesday the Saudi royal court envoy Nizar Al-Aloula, accompanied by the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Bukhari. The meeting focused on several issues, more particularly on the preparations for the joint committee which aims to develop bilateral relations between the two countries in an institutional way. Ambassador Bukhari announced that “the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia lifts its warning to its citizens traveling to the Lebanon, whether from the Kingdom or from any other international country.” Saudi Arabia has warned against travelling to Lebanon since January 2011, naming Hezbollah’s clout and the political instability resulting from the war in Syria.
