Recently appointed EU Ambassadors to Delegations in MENA present their credentials
Over the last weeks, new EU Ambassadors to Jordan, Lebanon, Yemen and the UAE have presented their credentials in their respective countries of posting. This follows a series of appointments announced by HR/VP Federica Mogherini in July and September. Andrea Matteo Fontana, the former EU Ambassador to Jordan, has been named new Head of the EU Delegation to the United Arab Emirates. He has been replaced by Maria Hadjitheodosiou in Amman. Ralph-Joseph Tarraf will be the new EU Ambassador to Lebanon, leaving his former position in Palestine vacant, although Tomas Niklasson is the current Acting Head of Delegation. Martin Huth is the new Head of Delegation to Iraq, replacing former ambassador Ramón Blecua, and Hans Grundberg has been named European representative to Yemen. Lastly, Cristian Tudor has been appointed as the Head of the EU Delegation to Kuwait, which recently opened last July.
