Qatar’s Nebras Power acquires 60% of Tunisian Energy Company
The deal in which Qatari Nebras Power acquired 60% of Tunisia’s Carthage Energy Company (CPC) marks the first expansion of the company into North Africa. The size of the deal was not disclosed but Nebras Power has said that the “deal fits into its strategic objective to become a leading international power company”, reported The North Africa Post. “We hope this will be the first of several investments in North Africa’s power sector,” said Fahad Hamad al-Mohannadi, chairman of Nebras, when talking about the acquisition.
