Moroccan Chief of Government held talks with Palestinian Deputy PM
Moroccan Head of government Saâd Dine El Otmani held, on 15 November in Rabat, talks with Palestinian deputy Prime Minister, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations, Ziad Abu Amr, on means to strengthen cooperation relations and improve the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. Abu Amr, who is on a working visit to Morocco as part of his participation in the 11th Congress of the Afro-Asian Peoples’ Solidarity Organization, “reviewed the challenges facing the Palestinian people in their efforts to block Israeli manoeuvres to seize Palestinian property, Judaize Al-Quds Asharif, threaten Islamic holy sites and restrict the freedom of Muslims there”, said a statement by the head of government department. The two sides also discussed ways to strengthen Moroccan-Palestinian cooperation, the source said. For his part, El Otmani reaffirmed Morocco’s full readiness to continue to support the Palestinian people in their cause with all available means and to work to consolidate cooperation ties between the two countries.
