On 22 May, Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj met President Beji Caid Essebsi in Tunisia. They discussed current developments in Libya and and bilateral relations. President Essebsi expressed his concern about the fighting and stressed the need for the resumption of the political process, saying that there can be no military solution to the conflict in Libya. Al-Sarraj appreciated Tunisia’s stance, commended the facilitation of medical treatment for fighters in Tripoli and reiterated Libyan armed forces to continue fighting.
