On Monday 7, King Abdullah II of Jordan has received the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini. During their meeting, both leaders discussed ways to bolster cooperation in different fields and the Jordanian monarch showed his appreciation for the EU support to his country. Besides, they addressed recent regional developments in Syria and Palestine and reiterated their commitment to expand coordination and consultation on issues of mutual concern. Abdullah II bestowed Mogherini with the Order of Al Istiqlal of the First Degree in appreciation for her efforts to enhance cooperation between Jordan and the EU.
