EuroMeSCo discusses minority issues in the MENA region
On 1 November the EuroMeSCo workshop on minorities in the MENA region took place at the Issam Fares Institute in Beirut. The meeting gathered researchers from the network and academics.
After an introductory discussion of the concept of “minority” and related terminology, three case studies were examined: Amazighs in Morocco, Christians in Syria, as well as black people in Tunisia.
The event was organised by Arab Reform Initiative, in the framework of the EuroMeSCo ENI Project, co-funded by the EU and the IEMed.
