On 8 June, EuroMeSCo kicked off the cycle of five events of the EuroMeSCo Annual Conference with the first country event in Rabat, co-organised with the Policy Center for the New South. Labelled as Youth and women’s inclusion in the labour market: challenges and opportunities for the Mediterranean region, this country event welcomed the EU Ambassador in Morocco, Patricia Llombart Cussac as well as representatives of the Union for the Mediterranean and International Organisations such as the International Labour Organisation (ILO).

The event was divided into several parts: two plenary sessions on Youth and women’s inclusion in the labour market: the challenges and opportunities for the Mediterranean region, and two working sessions, the first one served as a platform to present the two selected papers and the second one presented the EuroMeSCo Policy Study on Social Protection Reforms in the Mena Region: Possibilities and Challenges.
