On 26 September, the Chairs and vice-chairs of the different EP Delegations were elected among their members. MEP Andrea Cozzolino from the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats will chair the Delegation for relations with the Maghreb countries and the Arab Maghreb Union, while the MEP Isabel Santos, from the same political group, will head the Delegation for relations with the Mashreq countries. MEP Antonio López-Istúriz White, from the EPP, will be the Chair of the Delegation for relations with Israel. MEP Manu Pineda, from the Group of the European United Left-Nordic Green Left, will be the Chair of the Delegation for relations with Palestine. Lastly, Sergey Lagodinsky, from the The Greens/ALE will chair the Delegation to the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee. The European Parliament’s delegations are official groups of Members who build ties to countries, regions or organisations outside the European Union (EU).
