Mission and objectives

Created in November 2019, the Research Institute for European, Mediterranean, and African Studies (RIEMAS) is the think-tank of the Euromed University of Fez (UEMF). The RIEMAS is a platform for exchange, reflection and proposals devoted to the strategic challenges of the Euro-Mediterranean and African area. In this sense, it is fully in line with the mission of the Euromed University of Fez (UEMF) to contribute to the development and reinforcement of regional integration by promoting intercultural dialogue, exchange as well as academic partnerships and cultural activities in the Euro-Mediterranean area.

Nourished by the values of the Euromed University of Fez (UEMF) – openness, dialogue, tolerance, promotion of coexistence, moderation and intellectual rigor – as well as by collaborations with regional and international partners, the work of research fellows  and experts at the RIEMAS aims to enrich knowledge and debates on regional EuroMed-Africa issues, formulate proposals to the attention of public authorities as well as to all actors of regional cooperation in addition to reinforcing the vision of the South on regional issues.
