FPI - Turkish Foreign Policy Institute
Mission and objectives
Turkish Foreign Policy Institute is the oldest think tank in Turkey established in 1974 to increase awareness in international issues and to bridge the world of academia and the policy practitioners on issues related to Turkish foreign and security policies and major global and regional issues.
The institute also aims to contribute to the shaping of policy through developing policy recommendations for Turkish foreign policy implementations.
Europe and Turkey’s European vocation forms a significant part of the Institute’s joint programs with counterpart Institutes. The Institute has organized the first international think tank conference on Turkey and EC in 1978 and organized and attended many national and international conferences. Through participation in meetings and conferences and through its publications, the Institute tries to disseminate information on recent developments in Turkey and to convey the Turkish point of view on that matter.
