EMEA - Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association
Mission and objectives
EMEA is an independent research institution and forum of debate that provides innovative, forward-looking thinking and political, socio-economic, environmental and financial integrated analyses on Europe, the Mediterranean and Africa in an emerging multipolar world. As a “think and act tank”, it strives to contribute decisively to the transition process in the Mediterranean and Africa amidst climatic challenges, unprecedented global financial and economic crises and geopolitical uncertainties and conflicts.
EMEA has a strong network across Europe and the Mediterranean and leads initiatives such as Euro-Mediterranean and African Network for Economic Studies (EMANES), Euro-Mediterranean Guarantee Network (EMGN), Sustainable Transformative Alliance (STA), and the Brain Capital Alliance (BCA). These initiatives include actors working in socio-economic research and policy actions involving a wealth of knowledge and researchers. EMEA motivation: EMEA would like to be part of the EuroMeSCo network to strengthen its ties to economic research institutions in Europe and the Mediterranean. Membership would allow EMEA’s work to reach a wider audience and result in a stronger influence in policy making. This would be advantageous to EMEA’s two recently launched networks, STA and BCA.
