Mission and objectives

Le Centre des études méditerranéennes et internationales (CEMI) seeks to promote the studies related to the Mediterranean and international questions, notably by the organization of conferences, seminars, round tables and workshops; the participation in Tunisia and abroad in research activities related to the Mediterranean and international questions; the organisation of training sessions.

To serve these objectives, the CEMI main areas of interest are: the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership, the Association Agreements, the Neighborhood Policy, the Union for the Mediterranean and the Euro-Mediterranean Free Trade Area; 5 + 5 Dialogue; the NATO Mediterranean Dialogue; the democratic transitions in the Mediterranean region; justice and the fight against terrorism; human security; problems of immigration; water; sustainable development; conflicts in the Mediterranean region; energy.
