Around 20 participants, including the EuroMeSCo researchers and practitioners attended a workshop “The Threat of Terrorist Groups in the Euro-Mediterranean” organised by the Al Ahram Center for Political and Strategies Studies in the framework of the EuroMeSCo project.

The aim of the Workshop was to present and discuss the initial research results of the Joint Policy Study “Radical Groups: Security Threats in the Euro-Mediterranean”. Participants discussed in particular the reasons behind joining terrorist groups, the recruitment methods used by terrorist groups and the role of international and regional actors.
