Policy Debate: The Digital Transition in the EU’s Southern Neighbourhood: Progress, Obstacles and Opportunities

The Policy Study on Implementing the CBAM: How are the EU’s Southern Neighbours Preparing and What Can the EU Do to Help was presented in Istanbul during the “Mediterranean Green Week” organised by the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
The presentation was led by the policy study Coordinator, Mr. Michael Jakob, independent researcher and consultant, Climate Transition Economics, and by Ms. Myriam Ramzy, Assistant Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science – FEPS in Cairo University, one of the co-authors of the chapter on Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and Egyptian Competitiveness: A trade facilitator or a trade barrier?.
This meeting gathered around 70 participants, and among them there were officers from ministries of energy, environment and economy from the Euro-mediterranean region
