New EuroMeSCo Report Released

This report summarizes the main findings of the Dialogue Workshop "Transformation in Tunisia: The First Five Years" that took place on 4 November 2016. The event took place in the framework of a research group coordinated by Wolfgang Muhlberger from the Finnish Institute of International Affairs under the EuroMeSCo ENI Project.

The final results of this research group will be published in the forthcoming Joint Policy Study, with participation of Emmanuel Cohen-Hadria (IEMed), Cengiz Gunay (OIIP), Sherin Gharib (OIIP), Isabel Schafer (DIE) and Stefano Torelli (ISPI).

New Working Packages in the framework of the EuroMeSCo ENI Project

The meeting of the EuroMeSCo ENI Project´s Consortium took place on 9 November in Brussels. Members of the consortium, Steering Committee and representatives of the European Commission and EEAS discussed the topics of the Working Packages for the third cycle of the project. As a result of the meeting and based on the consultation of the whole network, the three Working Packages to be developed in 2017/2016 were approved:

 

Working Package 1

Sahel and Security in the Mediterranean, to be led by Carnegie Middle East Center

 

Working Package 2

New Euro-Mediterranean Dynamics in the Eastern Mediterranean, to be led by the Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies – MITVIM

 

Working Package 3

Minorities in the Middle East and North Africa, to be led by Arab Reform Initiative – ARI

New EuroMeSCo Steering Committee has been elected

Following the online vote, full members of EuroMeSCo have elected the new EuroMeSCo Steering Committee for the 2016-2018 period.
