Paper 55: Islamist Parties in the Maghreb and their Links with the EU: Mutual Influences and the Dynamics of Democratisation

This study provides an overview of the links of North African Islamist political parties with the EU, and it analyses, and compares, the Justice and Development Party (PJD) in Morocco and the Movement of the Society for Peace (MSP) in Algeria with respect to issues, such as democratisation, good governance, human rights and the rule of law.
