Mapping Migration Challenges in the EU Transit and Destination Countries

On 23 March in Budapest, the Institute for Foreign Affairs will hold a seminar  present and disseminate the final research results of the research group “Mapping the Migration Challenges in the EU Transit and Destination Countries”.

The year 2015 was a serious stress test to the stability and the cohesion of the European Union. The so-called refugee crisis was the second huge crisis – after the European debt crisis – the EU had to manage within few years. How the selected EU countries have addressed this crisis? Was there a change in their migration policies? And how the migration challenges have impacted on the overall EU policy framework?

The event marks the launch of the EuroMeSCo Joint Policy Study "Mapping the Migration Challenges in the EU Transit and Destination Countries”, edited by Erzsébet N. Rózsa, External Fellow Researcher at IFAT.

The seminar is organised in the framework of the EuroMeSCo ENI project, co-funded by the EU and the IEMed.
