General Statement
Founded in 1989, LCPS is a Beirut-based independently managed, politically neutral, nonprofit, and non-governmental think-tank with extensive experience in research, advocacy and training.
Over the years, the Center has established itself as a respectable voice that contributes to the national and regional debates on various political and social issues; and for producing and disseminating information on a broad range of national and international topics.

Areas of work
Democratic representation- Rehabilitation of public institutions- Reinforcement of civic values and peace building- Judicial reforms- Transparent budget process- Decentralization and local governance- The enhancement of the role of business associations in policy making- Social policies and labor markets.

Objectives of the Euromed/Middle East programme(s)
LCPS role as a think tank is to produce objective research and analysis, foster understanding and promote debate on the Euro-Mediterranean relations, political dialogue, co-operation in economic policy and in the social field between Europe and the Middle East.
